iBid Online Auction Service

Cities and other government bodies in Illinois can now use the State's surplus property auction website - iBid, often called "the eBay® of Illinois" - to dispose of their unneeded equipment.

Using the innovative online service can help municipalities reap the highest bid from more than 12,000 interested bidders around the world – as noted in the September 2007 Illinois Municipal Review article, "Sold!" [PDF, 79Kb]   And the fees are about half that of other online auction services.
