Due to a delay in the printing and distribution of the FY2009 Benefit Choice enrollment materials, the TRIP Benefit Choice Election Period has been extended through June 13, 2008 for all Teachers’ Retirement Insurance Program (TRIP) Benefit Recipients.
Elections will be effective July 1, 2008. The Benefit Choice Period is the only time of year, other than when a qualifying change in status occurs, that Benefit Recipients may change their coverage elections. The FY2009 Benefit Choice Options Booklet is available by clicking the link below:
During the annual Benefit Choice Period, Benefit Recipients may:
- Change health plans
- Add dependent coverage if never previously enrolled
All Benefit Choice changes should be made on the election form sent to you by the Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS). Completed forms must be given to the Group Insurance Representative (GIR) at TRS for processing no later than June 13, 2008. Benefit Recipients should complete the form only if they are making benefit changes or updating demographic information. Benefit questions should be directed to TRS.
Teachers’ Retirement Insurance Program (TRIP) Benefit Plans
The health and pharmacy benefits offered to TRIP participants are administered
by various plan administrators. Benefit
Recipients interested in changing their coverage elections may do so upon
experiencing an eligible qualifying change in status and should contact the
Group Insurance Representative (GIR) at TRS for more information.

plans located throughout State. Benefit Recipients may view a map of the managed care plans'

In addition to managed care plans, TRIP offers the Teachers' Choice Health Plan

are provided by a TCHP network provider.

A Medco

to using an out-of-network pharmacy.
Medco also offers a Mail Order benefit. To access a Mail Order Form for
any of the plans administered by Medco, click on the link that corresponds
